I have been doing research and teaching at university level for 30 years. My field of research has always been linked on the one hand to the study of mechanisms and machine design and on the other hand to vehicles, specifically the study of tire models, vehicle dynamics and control of active safety systems. I did my doctoral thesis on intelligent braking systems under the supervision of Professor Antonio Simón Mata and I did a postdoctoral stay at the Cornell Creative Machines Lab at Cornell University under the supervision of Professor Hod Lipson. Since 1991, I am linked to the University of Malaga where I am University Full Professor since 2019. I have 4 six-years research period and 1 six-year transfer period in the 2018 call. I have published more than 80 papers in journals (45 articles in JCR journals), book chapters and national and international congresses of recognized prestige. I have directed 8 doctoral theses (3 International Mention and 1 Industrial Mention). I have participated in 11 research projects, of which I have been principal investigator in 9 and in 11 technology transfer contracts. I have published 8 patents, 6 of them in the field of vehicles
